History Museum Warnemunde

The History Museum of Warnemunde is located in an old fishing house, built in 1767, in the so-called “Achterreeg” (second line of houses). On an area of 220 square meter, the visitor is informed by exhibits on the history of fishery, of seafaring, of pilotage and sea rescue in Warnemunde.

The development of Warnemunde from a fishing village to the today seaside resort is shown. Moreover, when the guests visit the living room (Vörstuw), the kitchen (Kök), the sleeping room (Achterstuw) and the hall (Deel) of the listed house they can get an idea on the living conditions of the inhabitants in the late 19th century.
